Wen Wei Dance performs “Unbound” at ArtSpring.
The company last performed on Salt Spring in 2010 with Cock Pit, now they return to Salt Spring with 6 dancers, among them Tiffany Tregarthen & David Raymond who recently performed here with Out Innerspace.
Weaving former Chinese traditions with modern perspectives, “Unbound” is an intense and stylish exploration of ideas of beauty, power dynamics, and gender relationships. Choreographer Wen Wei won the Isadora Award for Excellency in
Choreography for “Unbound”.
