Last month we looked at 5 Tips on Listening in answer to the question: How do I get my six year old to do what he’s asked WHEN he’s asked? Part two, below, examines some building blocks for encouraging cooperation – reworking and fine-tuning the Dance of Communication.
1) Develop and nurture a relationship of connectedness with your child. Can you imagine an adult in your life telling you in an angry tone or raised voice “Get your coat on and get out that door.
