•WEN WEI DANCE WORKSHOP @ ARTSPRING

Wen Wei Wang, artistic director of Wen Wei Dance is teaching a dance workshop that encompasses a variety of different styles, and incorporates aspects of improvisation, Tai Chi, classical Chinese Dance, composition, and contemporary movement. The intent of combining these different approaches is ultimately to foster a deeper understanding of the body, breathing and movement, and to discover new ways of moving the body in space. This workshop is open to all levels of dancers, teens/adults.

Chinese-Canadian dancer-choreographer Wen Wei Wang is one of Canada’s most important and most innovative choreographers. His company is performing “Unbound” at ArtSpring on Thursday February 23, 8:00 pm. Wen Wei received the 2006 Isadora Award for Excellence in Choreography for “Unbound”.
